The story begins when successful South Korean businesswoman Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin) lands in North Korea after a paragliding accident and meets the dutiful Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin). Their chemistry is incredible, and the way their love develops slowly and authentically touched me deeply.
The series offers not only romance, but also exciting insights into (albeit romanticized) life in North Korea. The humorous and warm-hearted supporting characters, especially the villagers, add depth and charm to the story. At the same time, the suspense of whether Se-ri can return safely to South Korea makes for gripping moments.
